Thankfully, I've stumbled upon four products that have become staples in my beauty routine for months, some even years now. And I found these additions at a price that didn’t make me raise both brows very reassuring to any frugal shopper. So, to the beauty curious shopper looking for something to add to your daily routine, let me share with you some of my favorite beauty products to date.

Boscia MATCHA Magic Super-Antioxidant Mask

This mask recently joined my set of must-haves. I enjoy its use of botanical ingredients, each naturally gifted with specific functions that improve skin concerns such as redness and blemish control. I discovered it while browsing at Marshalls (so the original price may differ), where I scoop up the majority of my beauty items. And I don’t know about you, but I get lost in that place every time.

Product Info: This 2.6-ounce clay-like mask is matcha green tea inspired. It detoxifies, decongests, and de-stresses your skin. The main purpose of this product is to reduce redness while helping reveal radiant skin over time.

Key ingredients include:

  • Matcha green tea extract: reduces oils, combats free radical damage, and brightens and rejuvenates skin

  • Bakuchiol: a natural Retinol-like compound without the negative effects. Promotes collagen and elastin.

  • Willowbark Extract: a natural salicylic acid that reduces redness and fights acne

  • Willowherb: helps reduce visible irritation and redness by calming skin inflammation

  • Jojoba Seed: a natural moisturizer that works to improve skin softness and reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines

Cruelty Check: Cruelty-free, Vegan, Gluten-free, and Artificial Fragrance and Color-free

Reason for buying: I wanted a face mask that would aid in brightening dark spots for an overall even complexion. I also wanted a clay-textured mask that would leave my skin feeling extra detoxified and fresh.

Results: Gives my skin a clean restart. Reduces redness (works great as a spot treatment), tightens skin, and makes it feel more lifted and smooth. Make sure to follow with your favorite moisturizer or a hydrating sheet mask.

Should I Buy This Product? If you’re looking for a product that gently combats skin congestion and helps reduce redness while brightening your complexion, then I definitely would recommend trying this mask.

Mario Badescu Rose Spray

I swear by this rose spray. A member of my daily-routine family for years now, it has never done me wrong, only right. A friend of mine recommended this product to me, and I went to Ulta to purchase it and never looked back well, only when it was time to stock up again.

Product Info: This facial spray is made with aloe, herbs, and rosewater. With a single spritz, it provides a hydrating boost that revives and re-energizes your skin while keeping it light and fresh. This spray is the perfect pick-me-up throughout the day. It is recommended for all skin types, and can be used to prime or set your makeup. To top it off, the floral infusion creates a very sweet, pleasant aroma. The spray comes in two sizes: 8-ounce and 4-ounce. I like to buy both and refill as needed (plus, 4 ounces minus some liquid is perfect for traveling). There are also other sprays from this line that you can check out: Facial spray with aloe, cucumber, and green tea or their other facial spray with aloe, chamomile, and lavender.

Cruelty Check: Cruelty-free, Vegan, Paraben-free

Reason for buying: I was becoming more interested in facial sprays, and wanted to find one that a) utilized rose and b) could provide a hydrating boost with a setting quality.

Results: Re-energizes my skin, leaving my complexion with a very subtle dewy layer that is fully absorbed throughout the day. When I am experiencing any redness or irritation, I immediately use this product to calm my skin. This is actually a perfect product for giving yourself a boost. It’s like a dry conditioner but for your face. The floral aroma relaxes your body and comforts your mind. A total regenerative experience.

Should I Buy This Product? I recommend this for anyone looking for a quick way to stay hydrated and re-energized. It is perfect to toss in your bag when you go off to work and is lovely for traveling, especially during long flights. Plus, with every spray, you'll feel like you're showing your skin love.

JĀSÖN Vitamin E Oil 5,000 IU

I came across this product while browsing for vitamin E oil at Walmart. When I read the ingredients, I beamed at the many beneficial essential oils listed, which included sunflower, almond, avocado, and apricot oil.

Product Info: This combination of oils carries lots of vitamin E to protect against fine lines and wrinkles, leaving your skin feeling silky and smooth. It utilizes wheat germ oils to moisturize the skin and renew its softness for those pesky dry spots on your body or areas that require extra hydration and moisture.

5 Essential Oils:

  • Almond Oil: mild & hypoallergenic, filled with vitamin A

  • Avocado Oil: high percentage of vitamin E, promotes collagen

  • Apricot Oil: vitamin A & C

  • Sunflower Oil: a rich source of vitamin E nourishes, hydrates, and softens skin

Cruelty Check: Cruelty-Free, Vegan, Paraben-free, Sulfates-free, Petroleum-free, or Phthalates-free

Reason for buying: I heard a lot of good things about using vitamin E on your skin to reduce the appearance of scars, so I wanted to try to incorporate it in my daily routine.

Results: I applied this oil at night before going to sleep so it could work its magic overnight (if even just a wink of magic). I made sure to massage it under my eyes to help with those morning dark circles. Once the oil absorbed into my skin, it felt smooth and moisturized. The sweet aroma added a nice little touch.

Should I Buy This Product? If you have oily or acne-prone skin, I probably wouldn't recommend this product. Try vitamin C if you have similar reasons for buying! Otherwise, I would recommend it.

CALA Aloe Vera Soothing Gel

Product Info: This is a gel formulated with 95% aloe to deeply hydrate and moisturize skin and hair. Best used for calming irritation, reducing redness, and hydrating dry hair. The container allows for easy retrieval of the product, and lasts for months.

Cruelty Check: Cruelty-free, Paraben-free, Synthetic Colors-free, Silicone-free, Mineral Oil-free, Benzophenone-free

Reason for Buying: I usually source aloe from our mini backyard garden, but I wanted to purchase an additional source just for when I'm on the go.

Results: I use this product whenever I get my brows threaded, and it saves my skin! I usually get little random irritation bumps right after, and this aloe gel helps calm my skin and return it back to its natural state. Sometimes, I like to apply this on my face as a moisturizer when I am staying at home just so my skin feels tended to.

Should I Buy This Product? If you're looking for something to help calm your skin, and you're okay with that 5% that isn't aloe, then go ahead and grab yourself one of these jars. It can come in handy every now and then. Next time, maybe I'll try the 99% Holika Holika Aloe Soothing Gel. Or just stick with the 100% from my backyard.
